Jointown Logistics Group Headquarters

Leveraging the group's nationwide marketing network and abundant upstream and downstream resources, Jointown Logistics' cold chain operations now cover marketing networks in over 98% of administrative regions across China. The company boasts 39,640.3 square meters of cold storage, more than 250 refrigerated trucks, over 1,700 third-party vehicles, and more than 5,000 insulated containers. It has also established a professional team of cold chain logistics operators and validation experts. Its services encompass a comprehensive range of tailored solutions, including cold chain warehousing, transportation, and distribution; cold chain validation; cold chain operations outsourcing; management consulting; technical product services; a pharmaceutical cold chain collaborative emergency platform; regional medical specimen logistics for laboratory testing; and on-site cold chain services within medical institutions.

**Temperature Control**

Pharmaceutical cold storage temperatures should generally be maintained between 2°C and 8°C to meet the storage requirements of most drugs. Certain pharmaceuticals may require stricter temperature control; for example, refrigerated drugs need 2–8°C, while frozen drugs require temperatures below -20°C.

A reliable temperature control system must be installed, including refrigeration equipment, temperature and humidity sensors, and an alarm system, to ensure temperature stability within the cold storage and to trigger alerts promptly in case of temperature deviations.

**Humidity Control**

The humidity level in pharmaceutical cold storage should be maintained between 30% and 70% relative humidity to preserve drug stability.

**Layout Design**

The size and layout of the cold storage should be rationally planned based on the actual volume and types of pharmaceuticals stored. The "first-in, first-out" (FIFO) principle should be followed to ensure effective drug management and utilization.

A well-designed shelving layout and ventilation system can improve storage efficiency and air quality.

**Environmental Hygiene**

Cold storage facilities should ideally face south or southeast to avoid direct sunlight.

Materials used should be mold-resistant and anti-microbial, and regular cleaning and disinfection should be carried out to prevent bacterial growth.

**Logistics Management System**

A comprehensive logistics management system should be established to track the receipt, dispatch, and storage of pharmaceuticals.

The use of pharmaceutical barcode technology helps reduce human error, improve work efficiency, and enable seamless integration with ERP systems of suppliers and customers for automated inventory and order management.
